Idol - For the Record

We ended up DVRing the girl's episode and results episodes from last week and watched last night.

I think the best girls were...
- Nadia Turner
- Jessica Sierra
- Carrie Underwood

Without a doubt the bottom 2 were...
- Janay Castine
- Melinda Lira

I can understand why Sarah Mather went though.

So --- right now I am 2-4

We are watching the guys sing now, but I will go ahead and post this and make those predictions later...

My favorites were...
1. Bo Bice
2. Mario Vazquez

Beyond that it sort of evens out. They will be eliminating the 2 that get the least number of votes. My prediction is...

- Jared Yates
- David Brown (but it could be Scott Savol)

We will find out on Wednesday night. The girls sing tomorrow night.

Google Image Search

I did a Google Image Search for "grease fire" to find some appropriate graphics for my last post...

It was not this bad...

But more like this, only coming from under the pan...

Really glad I didn't look like this while doing it...

Don't know why this returned on the search...

Sorry for the potential anger or whatever from that last photo. Lata!

First Homemaker Disaster

Yeah, sometimes you might burn something or mess something up, but never have I had a homemaker disaster like I did last night...

We had made hamburgers a few weeks ago and saved the left over raw meat (packed and frozen). Over the weekend I took the meat out so it could thaw. The plan was to fix burgers for dinner last night so after we got home I got on it. We were fungry (*effing hungry in other words). I turned on the grill and then got the meat out. I also sliced up some onion and put it in some tinfoil with seasoning and threw it on the grill. Yum - grilled onions would be super tasty. Once the grill was good and ready I went ahead and threw the burgers on there, flipped them - checked for done-ness, added cheese and brought them in. I checked for doneness once again. Everything looked OK. So, I went ahead and fixed buns for us and we sat down to eat. Justin took one bite and was immediately pissed. His burger was raw inside. WHAT? I should have known to call it a lost cause and stop there.

I didn't feel like going back out to the grill so I pulled out the trusty cast iron skillet to warm and finish the burgers. Justin was greatly opposing this idea. He was not looking forward to a twice-cooked burger. I was assuring him that everything would be fine as I put the burgers on the pan. After a minute they got to sizzling good so I moved them around and was leaning against the counter at the sink when the pan started to smoke, then SNAP - real loud. It was a cracking noise and flames shot up all around. The pan had cracked in half and a grease fire had started. I grabbed a mit to move the pan and we got the flames out with little fuss. Justin was hella pissed. Not so much that this was delaying his eating process, but totally POd that the pan was ruined. I do agree, I am quite upset as well. Cast iron is tough to get seasoned, and his Mom had given us the pan. It was his great grandmothers. So, I got out another pan, heated it carefully and finished the burgers. They were kind of dry, and by this point my tasty onions were cold. Although it was not tasty we ate it all.

This ends my crasy homemaker disater. I hope to not have another one any time soon. Byee for now!

Replace Vegita

As you might know - I follow the For Better or For Worse comic strip. This was from Sunday, and I think it fits Vegita very well. In fact, I think she should replace the cat here. Please use the classic photo below to assist your visual reference.

"The Camels Quest"

Justin is always giving me these pitches for children's stories. I am now working to whet his creativity by spontaneously prompting him with a basic plot and having him give me a quick story line. This is the first one...

Prompt: Camels go on a quest to find a hidden gem in the pyramids.

Three camels went to the pyramids to look for the mysterious gem, but they couldn't find it so they went to the 7-11 to get slurpies. While there they got mugged and then found a spaceship and flew to the moon. Upon arival at the moon they were greeted by Strong Bad and The Cheat with high-5s. On the moon they found many hot women and 57 Chevys. The chevys had copper and aluminium (pronouced the British way) rims - Bling! The camels were attracted to the women so they shared high-5s and then had make-outs and lots of sex, followed by more sex. Afterwards they hung out at the stick. The stick of course, being the best place to hang out at the moon.

**I have worked to keep the story as true to the dictation as possible.
