Estefan edges John for Worst Idol Yet!
The Elton John themed episode of American Idol was pretty bad, no - really bad, but the Gloria Estefan themed episode last night took the cake. Only 2 of the six performances were tolerable, and by tolerable - I mean that I was able to listen to them without wanting to turn down the volume the entire time.
So, I think the bottom three will be - Latoya, George, and John Stevens.... but I am sure that I will be wrong. I always am. We shall see tonight though!
Love you all! Gobble Gobble

Socks
So yeah, today as I was walking to the bathroom at the office - in only my socks - I couldn't help but think, "Who invented socks?" As it turns out I looked it up on the internet and realized I really don't care at all who invented them at all. I am just so glad that someone did. Socks are wonderful. When I sit and think about some of my favorite things, putting ona new pair of socks for the first time is one of them.
So yeah, socks are great - at least I think so.
I just wanted to let you know!

Sup
So, I have not posted very consistently latetly, so this is whats up with me --
The concert this past Thursday was great. Keith Urban was PHENOMENAL! I am so completely overwhlemed by his ability to play guitar, sing, and dance all at the same time. And I am not talking about jsut strumming - I mean PLAY PLAY. He is amazing. If you know me, you know I am a big Edwin McCain fan. My intrigue with Keith Urban is beginning to rival that of my passion for Edwin's music. Too bad Justin can't stand country music.
Speaking of Justin and music, he is and has been on a bug EMO kick lately and Dashboard Confessional is his main dig. Even I like the music. So, as it turns out Keith is playing at HOB on Fri, June 18th. Dashboard is play Sun, June 20th at HOB. I think I have convinced Justin to make a mini vacation out of it - which will be quite nice! :)
I used to run an Edwin fan site, The Music of Life, but it sort of fizzled out after I got to college. For it's time the site was actually pretty decent - still alot better than some company sites out there as of today. So, I am considering getting back into the "music fan site" market by starting a KU one - not sure though. I just need some sort of little project to work on and that will be fun. I am also of the opinion that the more I practice web design and the related, the better I will be able to service clients and the such.
Well - went to Walterboro this weekend for the Rice Festival. Not quite as lavish as I expected, but damn - they can cook some rice down there! I have a large serving from the "world's largest pot of rice." It was SOOO good. It was like sooped up Chicken Bog with sausage, ham, and jalepenos. It was awesome! We watched the parade and look around at the arts and crafts before calling it quits. It was nice to see Ms Lori. We don't get down to see her as often as we should, and I feel bad about that. Got to see Jeremy too, which was nice - even though it lasted for only about 10 minutes. He was off galavanting with his friends and riding his motorcycle the entire time.
This Week
I have a meeting or two scheduled this week. I also hope to finally finish my part of the Moore School project as well. ( I let is slide last week - tisk tisk). This Saturday, may 1, is poker night over at our house. I am going to try some new appetizer recipies out, which will be fun!! Saturday during the day Justin and I will be stripping out our flower beds because Mom, Dad, and Grandma A are going to be coming on Sunday to help us re-plant all of our flower beds. So, some of this week is going to be spent planning for what we want to plant. I know we are going to bring in some day lillies, irises, monkey grass, azaleas, crepe myrtles, and a dogwood or 2. Going to hit the Y hard this week too. I missed most of last week because of various evening appointments. This morning was somewhat depressing because I went to put on one of my favorite suits and it didn't fit. :( Gotta keep working.
But, need to get to work -- Gobble Gobble

Idol Results and Comments...PRINCE
So, I was wrong again - but this time I am 100% ok with the person that was voted off. Bye Bye Jennifer!! :)
To comment on Ron and Wendy's comments - I think Diana is a good singer, I just dont think she is ready for this competition. I also agree with the two of you that John Stevens should have been gone for a good while now. I am just trying to predict the way America will vote. So far, I am not doing so hot, but oh well...
Last night I saw PRINCE in concert - it was amazing!!!!! I am slightly sad that he did not play my song (raspberry beret), but nevertheless it was very cool. He is an exceptional performer. I think all that went along with us had a great time. Thank you Jennifer K. for getting us the tickets - YOU ROCK!!!
Heading to see Kenny Chesney and KEITH URBAN tonight!! Can't wait. I love me some KU! :)

Idol Picks
So, as it turns out - we are going to develop a reality-pickem' website that will feature all of the ongoing reality shows and will allow people to pick who is going to be eliminated.
Anyhow - after watching last night, this is what I think...
Bottom 3: Diana, Jennifer Hudson, John Stevens (maybe - apparently I am not so good at this stuff). I think Diana will be voted off.
We shall see this evening. -- Actually, I will probably see late tonight because when Idol comes on at 8:00, do you know where I will be? At the PRINCE concert! SWEEET! I get to go see Kenny Chesney tomorrow too. So, it will be a music packed rest of the week for me. :)
Hope you have a good day! Gobble Gobble

Back
Back in Cola - Flo was good - glad to have hair gone! Busy writing proposals today - really enjoying it. Looked at several properties early afternoon and had lunch. Whole GS (GraySail) clan went - almost. No Geniese. Conversation ran though many topics - Special K, Money Bags, Big G, Anphibians, etc. It was great. Back to work though. Better post later.

Totally Wrong
Okay, much sadness in the house - JPL was eliminated! :( I am crushed, and my predictions are quite off. JPL, Diana, and John Stevens were in the bottom three...
Back to work now, and Justin and I are heading to Flo for the evening. gotta get my hair cut - :) Then we are going to go fishing in the morning before coming back to Columbia.
Have a good one! Gobble Gobble!

American Idol Predictions
So, Justin and I have been watching American Idol pretty intently this season, and they are down the the top 8 now, so I am going to make some predictions and statements.
Statement 1: This is going to get really tough for them - I have never seen a group this talented on the show before.
Statement 2: My predictions are based on how I think America's voting is going to go, not my personal preference as to who should or should not win.
Statment 3: I think that Fantasia, Latoya, George, and Jennifer will all get record contracts reguardless of what happens! Possibly even more of them as well.
Predictions: The following list is the order of being kicked off first, make sense? So, the later in the list, the longer they will be around.
Jasmine
Diana
John
Jennifer
JPL
Latoya
George
Fantasia
I really have a tough time with this list, especially when I get to Jennifer, but anyway - we shall see. They are eliminating someone tonight, we shall see what I do.

More Pics
Some new pic categories are up - Halloween 2002 and Misc. Pics.
Just wanted to let you know!
New Pics/Update
Gohan is doing just fine. He slept all through the night with no problems, although I must say, every time I heard him move around my throat got tight.
I posted some new wedding pics in the Pictures section. They are pretty good. I have a sinister looking face in one of them where Justin and I are cutting the cake. I know I must have been thinking, "Dont you dare put this on my face or I will KILL you."
So, today seems to be a better day. Just finished a meeting at the Moore School and I am waiting on some Chinese food that we ordered for lunch. Wether is icky here. All rainy and stuff.
Back to work though. Hope you are having a good one!

Lovely Times at GraySail
So, Scott - our CTO - and even Hoke, our CEO, are very anal about passwords. Aparently every password should have atleast 1 number, character, and symbol (!, ?, etc.). So - today Scott asked Hoke for a username/password combo for some software here in the office and I proceeded to authoritatively say - Die/Die. (Today has not been such a good day).
This then lead into a conversation such as what follows. However, before I go on I must say that the use of an exclamation point (!) in a password is called "bang."
Leslie: Die/Die
Geniese: Shouldn't that be die!
Leslie: Ha Ha. It could be !die!
Geniese: Or die!die.
Leslie: Very true, however I think die!diex2 (die bang die times 2) would be best!
I love it at GraySail!!
5 am Franticness
So, I was rattled by Gohan this morning just as 5 o'clock got here. It was like he was having one of his 'Doggy Nightmares' where his feet scrape the ground and his collar jiggles and makes noise. He did not respond to me calling his name for him to wake up, and i thought maybe he was trying to get the bedroom door open so he could get out - poddy time? So, I got up (he was at the foot of the bed) and I noticed he was laying down, and he kept moving - I knew it wasn't good. I flipped on the bathroom light, and well - i have spent many hours watching Emergency Vets on Animal Planet - so I immediately knew it was a seizure. I tried to pull him out of it, but it wasn't working. Of course, by now Justin was up and watching. I bolted to the fridge where the Columbia Pet Emergency phone number was and dialed it.
The lady was super nice, and I tried to remain as calm as possible. She asked if he had ever had one before, "Not that I know of." She asked how long it lasted, "Maybe 2 minutes." She let me know that most likely he would have trouble getting up and moving around for the next hour or so, and that it was possible that he may seem somewhat disoriented as well. By this time he was out of the seizure and Justin was talking to him. So, she said that if he had another one to call back and we would get him to the vet, but that if not - as long as he got back to normal shortly, everything should be okay.
As I expected, she was right - he couldnt get up, but he seemed very oriented. He was looking at us, wagging his tail, and he seemed quite happy. He was just not able to get up. Slowly he gained strength in his front legs and tried to get up, but his back legs kept slipping out from under him. Then slowly he got the strength back there, and ended up being pretty normal. Just moving a little slow. I put him outside for a bit and just watched through the window - it was raining, so I was not going out unless he got in trouble. After a bit I left him in and barricaded him in the kitchen and went to sleep on the couch. He was wet so I did not want him in the bedroom, and I wanted to be near in case he had another episode.
Justin thought I kinda over-reacted with it all, but he did admit it was pretty scary. So, Gohan is at home and we are at work. I cannot help but worry about him though. Did some research on the internet, but did not find a whole lot. If you know anything - please post a comment. If anything else happens I will update.

New Toy
I got a new toy last night. Justin and I went to return some duplicate gifts to target and we ran up a pretty good store credit. So, we picked up a few things we needed and then splurged a little. Justin got me an MP3 player and clip on head phones (as opposed to ear buds). I was saying that I would like a way to listen to music while at the Y, but i didnt have anything to use. - So I got one! :) Yeah!

I have posted MANY MANY MANY pictures of all sorts of stuff. Please visit the pictures link over on the left. It would make me happy. :) I hope to have more pictures soon. Some of the areas are kind of sparse. If I get a lot of free time, I will add captions to some stuff.
Well, I have a meeting in a few.

A Good Day
Overall, today has been pretty good so far. I am just finishing things up at the office before I head over the the Y for my daily cardio. Have I talked about meeting with the personal trainer over there yet? If not, it was really cool. We talked about my goals and what the best way to reach them is. to start I have to get into the habit of 30 min of cardio 4 days a week. So, here goes nothing.
Work went pretty well today too. I am still working on setting up the structure for the Moore School site. I also started on a Service Portal element for the GraySail website that will teach people how to set-up their email accounts after we issue them. - I think it will be pretty helpful. I also launched a website today. It is for "Got Bugs?". They are a client that GraySail got through our relationship with CMAT (Center for Manufacuring and Technology) over at USC. We also did a business card, letter head, and brochure for them. I think it is all pretty nice.
That pretty much sums up my day. I plan to watch "American Idol" tonight, take off the last of my fake nails from the wedding, and do some cleaning. Oh yeah, and laundry. That is really important. I think Justin is out of boxers.
Anyhow - I better head out. -- Gobble Gobble!

Hola!
I have my animals back now! :) You have no idea how excited I am! I think Justin is pretty happy too. Vegeta was not too happy with us though. I could tell she was pissed that we left her with some other people. Gohan was sad to leave the rent's house though - he loves it there.
So, I obviously have a new page, but some other people do too....
Carlo - www.carlobacani.com
Allen - www.allenmichaellee.com
Jeremy M - www.jeremymcgee.com
Sarah Jane - www.sarahjanegourley.com
Jeremy S - www.jeremyshearer.com
Ben Sinclair - www.bensinclairbensinclair.net
Todd Hooks - www.toddhooks.net
Ron Wertz - www.ronwertz.com
Justin and I got web pages for all the people in the wedding party. I think it is pretty cool. Unfortunately, like NONE of them link to me.
Must get back to work though. Setting up the structure for the Moore School site today - FUN!

Gonna Experiment
Okay, so I made the title bold. I have not done much HTML coding, and that is what it takes to get this stuff looking spiffy. Anyhow - things are going well. I am getting some additional pages ready for the website over the weekend, pic albums and stuff. I am also pulling some old content off of my old website (poofy turkey).
Justin and I are heading to Florence this afternoon. I hope my animals remember me. Mom had me trying to get Vegeta's attention on the phone the other day. She held the phone in the cat's face and I was talking to her. Mom said she just rubbed her head on the phone. (I must mention that Vegeta will rub her head on anything you put in her face. - It is pretty nice though because she pet's herself.) As I understand, Mom and Dad are very ready to get her out of the house. She drives Dad crazy. That's my kitty! :)
So, Justin & Tate took me to the YMCA the yesterday. I made the mistake of making my first machine the Versa Climber. After I finished 5 minutes on it I thought my legs were going to collapse! It kind of sucked. I hit the bike for 10 minutes after that and then took a brief tour of the entire facility. Looks pretty good. Might switch from Curves to that simply because the YMCA is liess than a block from the office. We shall see.
Well, better get to work. - Gobble Gobble!
