Derailed

It was a weird week, and at one point I thought I was going to become derailed, but the promise of a weekend and good week next week held me together and here I am the survivor of 5 work days and a lady ready to take on the world.

It was little things...breaking my sunglasses, getting in the wreck, letting my domain expire (hence the lack of other writing the other night), lots of work, a power outage in the middle of the night, and slight boy frustration that got me there. I cannot complain at all though. I am alive, I am happy, I have a cool cat (must remember to write about that), and have friends, I have interests, I have a great job. The key there is that I have.

Talk about derailed though. To all the people in Alabama and across the rest of the US that are dealing with loss of life, possession, and normalcy - be strong. Each day can only get better from here. And to the families and friends connected to the tragic bus accident down in ATL. Wow. I say the same to you. Be strong.

I also say a congrats to all involved with the Anna Nicole Smith stuff. She is finally laid to rest and perhaps all those people can get their lives back to normal. Whatever normal happens to be for people like that. It just shocks me sometimes.

Mr. Suki had two trips this week. One was to Pets Inc. for a shot. He was in the box for nearly 2 hours and was NOT a happy camper. Yesterday he had to go to the vet in order to get neutered and get his rabies shot. I got him dropped off yesterday morning and was back at Dr. Cheathams office to pick him up around 5:00. The interesting part was that all he got was his rabies shot. The Doc took Pets' word for it when they said he needed to be neutered. As it turned out, he didn't. Mr. Suki has already been taken care of. I guess the amusing part was the the Doc didn't realize until he had already been knocked out.

SJ, Hannah, and I went out last night. It was fab. We had a lovely time and I introduced them to that Taylor Swift song I profiled the other week on the music page.

Today I am going to that play, and perhaps to do a little shoe shopping. We shall see what comes up.

So Long.
