Smiling

I felt like I probably smiled a lot this week. I am not sure why as I look back on the past 7 days that I feel like I have been extra happy...but I do. It has not been anything in particular, but just good enjoyable days - and for that I am thankful. :-)

This week I tackled a lot of stuff at work and was very productive, ate relatively well, spent less money than I typically do (which as I am analyzing things is a very smart move), and saw good people.

The highlights included drinks & dinner with Eric at Liberty; seeing Heather, Sid, etc. at Jillians; having dinner with Wendy at Lizards Thicket (yum); band (I played well - and confidently); eating at Miyos with Mom & Ryan; watching mom get a little buzzed at Wild Wings while she talked cars with this guy named Kenny - and in general hanging at Wild Wings because I got to meet some new people.

I did not so much enjoy getting home at 11:30ish last night after leaving Eric & Kenny at Wild Wings and then having to get up at 5am this morning. Mom and I made it to US 1 Flea Market about 6:45, and by 10 were so freaking cold that we just said forget it. I could have made an extra $30 bucks or so I bet (when the Mexican shopping crowd came through), but getting to the grocery store and taking a nap were much more important to me. Why? Because I was freezing. Hot chocolate only does so much. Everything got dropped at HIS House, and Mom and I enjoyed a long nap while FoodTV played in the background.

I was productive though today and have most all of the prep work done for the party tomorrow. So, that is good. Planning to take it easy the rest of the evening and just see what happens.

So, go Super Bowl. I am thinking that the Colts are going to win, but really just want to see a hard hitting football game that keeps me guessing. May any festivities that you have planned be fun. Oh, and don't forget that Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl (with Kitty Half Time Show starts tomorrow at 3:00pm EST. Puppies are cute. Part of me really wants to get a dog, or a cat, heck - I still want a Jersey Cow. I need to go visit Fancy at the zoo sometime soon. I have not been to see her recently.
