Big BBQ

Photos from the big BBQ are up. View the photos. It went pretty well overall. The chili I made on Friday night was kind of weak because I forgot salt, and I also rush cooked it as opposed to letting it go all day. I sure looked tasty though.

Hoke, Jim, George, Change & Justin were on the pig crew this time. They did a might fine job. On Friday night Jen, Patrick, Meg, and McGee also came out. We had a small campfire and chilled outside most of the evening. Patrick brough fireworks so that made things interesting.

I turned in around 11pm but played a game of canasta online before going to sleep. I chose to set my sleeping bag up in the loft, and other than being cold part of the night I slept relatively well. I was however awoken by fireworks quite early the next morning. But went back to sleep.

Ben made a rare and elusive appearance on Saturday morning, and around 9:30 I was sent to get biscuits. I passed Dad on the way down the drive and knew that meant I would be working once I got back.

Dad & I spent most of the day working on the railing. I say "Dad & I" because I really did help. Lori was one of the first to arrive. She was a big help and worked with me to pick stuff up outside. Mom arrived around 11ish and stuk around before having to go to a meeting. Between her depature and arrival we saw lots of people. Thank u to everyone who came.

The place cleared out abut 4pm. And we did some cleaning up. After visiting for a bit many were hungry so it was time for some Q-sandwiches. We had run out of sauce though so I drove JMs beamer to Po Boys to get some sauce. SJ rode with me. She and I had a good day visiting. It was nice to see her.

After having some sandwiches we watched the Carolina football game. At half time Justin went home (back to JMs) and shortly after Todd & Kristina headed out. JM, SJ, and I hung around until the end of the game though. I ended up having to catch a ride back with JM though because my keys had gotten locked in the jetta. I didnt really realize what all that meant though.

I ended up not having my pillow, toothbrush, hair brush, or much of any necessities in that way. Justin was fast asleep when I got home so I ended up watching some TV, messing around online, taking a shower, watching some more TV, poking around the internet, and falling asleep on the sofa. I didnt sleep very well though.
