Almost Out
We are closer to having everything out of Jeremy's place. Today was spent putting up shelves, installing the dryer vent, and sealing the wood in the bathroom.
Justin and I woke up relatively early and headed to Lowes. While gone Dad arrived at the house. His task was the dryer vent, but we of couse got him to help with other stuff too. He brought along the big stainless steel counter that finished out the kitchen area. Things are looking really good. Pictures will come soon.
Mom helped with sealing the bathroom and then after Dad left she and I went and got a batch of stuff from JMs and picked up some dinner at Arbys. I love their chicken salad.
Speaking of food - I have done horrible with eating this weekend. Way too many sodas, and way too much junk food. Last night we ate at Bunkys with Chance and I had a plate of fried chicken with stewed okra/tomatoes over rice and collard greens. It was soooo good. I knew I should have not eaten it all though.
Another good thing happened last night as well. It was getting chilly when we went to go to dinner and I was in need of a jacket. I happened to open the closet box labeled "Leslie's Clothes" and what do I find? My fav hooded sweatshirt - HERSHEY'S :-) Just what I needed - a garage for my head. On the way to dinner I rocked out to The Veils - Nux Vomica while Justin and Chance chatted.
DISCRIMINATION ALERT - A few weeks ago Justin and I had our mail box bashed down. Today as Mom and I are leaving someone had written what appeared to be "F**K You" in red nail polish on the side of our pretty silver mail-box. Apparently they also felt bad about it because much of it had been smeared. The mail box was also full of what looked like the left-overs from fireworks. Weird.
CREEPY ALERT - While at the fair having lunch on Friday Justin, Chance and I were making our way from the sand sculpture building to the building that houses fine art when a guy pretty much grabbed my arm and was like "I know you!"
Guy - I know you
Leslie (looking confused) - No, I dont think so.
Guy (pointing at justin) - And I know you too.
Justin (also looking confused) - No, we dont know you.
Guy - Yeah, I do. You guys are about done building your house.
Leslie & Justin (looking at each other wondered what the deal is) - Yeah...
Guy - I work with Kristina - she showed me your pictures.
Leslie (it all making since) - ohh, Todds girlfriend.
Guy - Yeah, I love all your Flickr pics.
It was really bizarre. Kind of like our own online version of This Old House.
So - I ought to head on to bed. Much shopping and house work to do tomorrow. Thanks again to those that have helped with the moving. And sorry to those of u that have heard all of this already - or that I stole your comments from when I told u the stories.
Ha - that was great, my Mom just exclaimed - "What He Wasnt Down!" - So funny when she gets into football. :-)
So Long - Farewell - Auf Wiedersehen - Adieu
