All Concert-ed Out
The concert went pretty well. If it would not have been for my little fan club (Justin, Mom, Dad, Grandma A, Todd, Kristina, Sarah Jane, and Hannah) the audience would have been much emptier. I feel a little frustrated with the other bassoon player though because he tends not to play. And especially in sections where I would appreciate some backup in order to take a little break myself. My chops just arent up for playing a 10 song concert yet. I thought they would be. I guess it would help if I practice more.
I am pleased to know that Sarah Jane (clarinet), Jamie (flute) and Matt Lee (percussion) will be joining me at rehersal next week. Justin is still a question mark though. We do need trombones.
Grandma bought me an early Christmas present today - a sewing machine. The reason I need it is to make Justin's Halloween costume. He is going to be "The Sting Ray that killed Steve Irwin." I ought to get sewing on that this evening.
So tomorrow is the big day - I start the new job. PLEASE think about me and while I most likely will not be able to take your call during the day I will welcome any and all calls to check on me. I know it sounds silly to say that this is my first "real" job, but that is kind of the way it feels. You can guarantee a big post about it.
If things go really well in the second half of the afternoon NFL games I may beat Marty in fantasty football. That is kind of a big deal cause he is 1st in the league and undefeated. I am 9th of 12.
I shall go though.
Byee.
