Free Money

I love free money. Lowe's Home Improvement has again given it to me. :-)

So, for them I have some Some Thank Yous.

Justin and I went into Lowe's yesterday to research the 'build our vanity' project for the new house. The only thing I planned to buy was the sink for the bathroom so we could have it for measuring & insipration purposes. Before I knew it we had decided to try and just get everything for the bathroom. The cart got full so we ended up with one of the palatte carts - it was full too. There was the sink, faucet, water heater, toilet, towel & toilet paper hooks, bathroom lights, and that was probably about it.

Come checkout I knew it would be a heavy tab, but we needed all the stuff, so may as well go ahead and get it. While waiting in line Justin and I discussed payment options and as we went to pay the cashier said, "you have a Lowe's card?" I responded affirmatively. So, she proceeded to tell us about a new project program they have. It is called the Lowe's Project Card. Basically you can open up a 6 month project window of intrest free credit when you spend $1000. Anything else you purchase on the project card during that 6 months is still interest free until the project window closes. As long as you have the card you can again and again puchase $1000 of products and open a 6 month window, so it is not like a special promotion or anything.

As a result we ended up with 3 ceiling fans and some of our outdoor lights in addition to all the bath stuff. Needless to say, the Jetta was VERY full. Still is for that matter. When we go out to the land tomorrow we are going to drop some of the things off.

This weekend... got to finally get the gate installed on the land. We have been putting it off. We also have to get 44 cement blocks to finish up a few places around the house. (More free $$) Lori is also suppose to be coming up tomorrow. It will be nice to show her all the progress on the house. Jeremy might come with her too. Sunday Justin and i are having lunch with my old friend Carlo. It will be nice to see him.

But, better go - have work to do.
