Wednesday June 14
This morning (in the rain) Justin and I went out to put some dirt around for Dad to disperse as he was waiting on the inspector today. While there Justin got the tractor stuck in the mud. It was nasty. Dad got there and they worked and worked to get it out, but no luck. We ended up heading into work.
The insepctor came out and approved the plumbing rough-in. We did find out that we have to have another inspection before the slab gets poured on Friday though, which was unexpected. Fortunately the guy understands that the concrete is scheduled to arrive at 10am, so he will come first thing in the morning.
Dad stuck around until we got off work to help Justin with the tractor. That was nice. I had to take Gohan to the vet and by the time I got out there they had just finished un-sticking the tractor.
We have had a ton of rain the past few days and I am skeptical about being able to get the concrete trucks back there. We will see how things look tomorrow.

The concrete guy came out today and surprisingly said we would be a go for tomorrow. I was floored. Still not thinking it is a good idea though, but ultimately it is his call.
Called to request a dispersement today on the construction loan and found out that the loan is still not funded. So, I called the attorney and Homeowners to find out the deal. Apparently Homeowner's Mortgage had UPSd me and Justin a document we needed to sign. Problem is that they sent it to Creekway and DUH - we are not living there anymore. Why they did not call to let us know this I am not sure. So, we went by to sign the form today and they should be faxing a copy and UPSing it to M&T so everything can get finalized.

The concrete was suppose to arrive at 10:00am. About 9:30 the concrete finishers arrive. The ground was still really wet. 11:00 - no concrete. 11:15 - no concrete. 11:30 - concrete - we saw it coming through the woods. Then it stopped. STUCK! We all knew it would happen.
I was kind of looking at the situation like I do a hurricane. The storms are terrible and you never want to be effected by one, but there is always adreneline and excitement associated with the storm coming so part of you wants it to strike. --- As much as I did not want to deal with the headache of having the trucks stuck part of me wanted to be like - told ya we should have waited. Ha ha!
So, they called the wrecker. Before it arrived the second concrete truck came up - not having any idea what was going on - it got stuck too! Lovely. The wrecker arrived, and it was one of the GIANT ones that pulls 18-wheelers. It got the secondtruck free and began working on the first one. Mom & I started jumping for joy when the second concrete truck cam around the side access road and headed across the field. Not 50 yards from the house - stuck.
After talking to the guy Justin came and meandered over to us - we found out the wrecker was not stuck too. Weak! All 3 stuck. They worked and worked to get everyone out, but no luck - a second wrecker was called. It was 2:30 by now and the concrete in the trucks was getting hard. The likelyhood of us pouring concrete was slim to none so Justin and I headed to work.
We were not there 45 minutes before Dad called and frantically said - they are free, about to pour concrete. So, we wrapped stuff up at the office and bolted out there. It was nearly 8:30 before everything got wrapped up. What a day!
Saturday June 17
Justin departed around 10am for his excursion to Atlanta. With Ben's wedding approaching this was the Bachelor party. They got Ben a great outfit to wear when going out. Justin should be posting the pics soon - TOO FUNNY! Karl, Jeremy, Ben, & Chris were the participants. Seems like they had a pretty good time.
I spent the morning helping Jen move. Then relaxed most of the afternoon. it was nice to just chill.
Sunday June 18
Happy Fathers Day! I beat Mom & Dad out to the land Sunday morning. Upon arrival I realized they had been there on Saturday and started laying blocks. How kind! WE finished with the blocks around 6:00 that evening. The entire 1 & 2nd courses are done and the corners are set for the 3rd course. Should start on logs this weekend!
Monday June 19
Justin rolled in about 4am. Needless to say when it was time to go to work he was not getting out of the bed. So he got to GraySail about 11. The day was pretty productive. I also finally got some progress made on our loan with M&T I think. We should be able to start requesting drafts tomorrow.
Tuesday June 20
Today has been good. M&T has not called so I am frustrated about that. Gotta go out to the land today and assess the situation with the driveway situation after all the stuckage on Friday. Gotta count some blocks to make sure we have enough to finish the 3rd course. I also ned to go get my nails done they look horrible. Having dinner tonight witha big crowd - Jeremy, Ben, Todd, Katie, Brandon, & Karl - going to Ds Wings for all you can eat crab legs. YUM!
