Early Birthday Celebration

This coming weekend is Mom & Grandma Alston's birthday, but Justin and I went to Florence to celbrate this past weekend. We did it then mainly because Gramma Johnson was throwing my cousin Lisa a baby shower. So, Friday afternoon Mom and Dad came to Columbia. Mom went eith me to the American Idol concert and Dad hung out at the house and played poker with the guys.

Saturday Justin and I slept in and then headed on to Florence. We went out to eat that evening for "birthday dinners" at Red Lobster. That was only the beginning of my bad eating for the week. Oh, I guess I should mention that on Friday I officially reached my first weight-loss goal. :) It was looking like I was going to reverse it though...

Sunday morning we woke up and went fishing at Lynches River. Justin caught the first fish. A big ole' flat-head cat. 'Bout 15 inches. After that I caught one decent sized fish, one the size of my pinky, and one maybe as long as from the tip of my index finger to my wrist. Nothing impressive. The bad part was that was all we caught all day. I think it was because we decided to stick Justin's fish in the live-well hoping that we would catch more big ones and have enough to cook.

We had some lunch at the house after we left the river, and then Mom, Grandma and I headed to Gramma's for the baby shower. We were running late as always. Lisa's first son Derek was not there, but Myson (Jessie's son) and Ty (Anna-Lynn's son) were. Both of them are so cute, but Myson is a bundle of fire-crackers. This was were I though I really killed my diet. We had just eaten lunch and Gramma had all sorts of fod out, and I ate WAY too much - including a slice of cake, but it was SOOOO good.

Gramma had some fun games for us to play. One of them was abotu Nursery Rhymes. There was a list of about 15 NR's name unconventionally. For example, "The broken egg" is obviously 'Humpty Dumpty.' I didn't do so well on that one. Another one was a picture that had things wrong, for example, a clock with the numbers in the wrong place. I did pretty well on that one - only missed one, but it was controversial. The last one was a list of type of things that you had to give examples of, the key was all the examples had to start with the same letter. Lisa picked "L" as the letter. So we had to name... {forgive me for spelling} a car (lamborgini), a male celebrity (Emril LaGassi), a female celebrity (Jennifer Lopez), a singer, tree, bird, college, fish, magazine, sport, state, country, and several other things. Your score for each item you could not name was a 10, and then for other items your score was based on the number of other people that listed the same thing. You wanted to have the lowest score possible. I didn't do super hot on that one either.

Overall it was a good weekend though. Gohan had another seizure though - Sunday evening after we got home. :( I just wonder how many others he has had and we just didn't know about it. He seems to be fine afterward though. So, I am trying not to worry too much.

Need to go though. Got to do some work.
