+$121 & A Great Flick!

Friday evening Justin & I went through the house and cleaned out the garage in preparation to go to the flea market on Saturday morning. Which flea market you ask? None other than the US 1 Metro Flea Market! (I know they have a Web site I just can't find it.) We didn't have any big ticket items, but did bring home $121 and a lot less junk. Katie W. went with us a did pretty well too! Very proud of her! :) -- I took some pics and will try to put them up soon. Got a good one of a Mexican mullet.

After the flea market we met up with Ben for a bit and had some lunch. Then went back to the home front and SLEPT!! For about 3 hours which was slightly longer than I intended, but oh well. We were then too lazy to go eat dinner so we drug Jeremy M. along to Golden Corral. (I am now convinced that place is a rip-off and will not go again!)

Sunday I was up relatively early and took advantage of Justin still being asleep so I could catch up on some of the stuff I had DVRd..

OKAY PAUSE - I am sitting at the table in the kitchen and Vegita is next to me playing with her tail. Literally - running in circles!! Very weird! - PLAY

..It was stuff like The Jury on FOX and a few episodes of Good Eats on Food TV that I knew he would not want to watch. Well, he caught me watching the "Flat is Beautiful II" where AB(aka Alton Brown) makes Chicken Kiev and other flattened meat dishes. To the point... Justin and I were inspired and we invited Katie and Brandon over for dinner and to watch A Great Flick (hence the title of this post).

In preparation I made some herb butter (soften 1.5 sticks of butter, place in mixer with ~2 tbs of oregano & basil as well as 1 tbs of tarragon & sage - all fresh herbs, chopped or sliced well. Mix until fully incorporated - wrap in plastic wrap and put in fridge) and Justin worked on trimming up some chicken breasts. (He did a very good job too!) We then worked together to get them banged out - wafer thin and then rolled them up with a few pieces of the herb butter and a sprinkling of Italian Bread Crumbs inside. After rolling we tightly bound each roll in plastic wrap and stuck it in the fridge to set-up. This was all done by 12:00.

The remaining part of the day I cleaned and worked on SECXplorer stuff. We are very close to launch! Katie and Brandon were set to come over at 7:00 so I started with some Long Grain Wild rice about 6:50 and prepared to cook the Chicken Kiev by getting the electric skillet ready, beating some eggs, and setting out bread crumbs. I got it all done just about at the same time (had to run a little over because I forgot about the bread). All in all I thought it was kind of tasty. We even used place mats on the table! How fancy!!!

Now - on to the movie part. We watched Zoolander. Which has to be my all time favorite comedy! I love that movie. Unfortunately, Brandon was feeling under the weather and they had to go home early, but nevertheless it was nice to see them.

Shout out- Brandon I hope you are feeling better!!! :)

So - that's it - gonna be a busy week. Got to finish SECXplorer stuff cause I cam going on vacation to Florida next week.

Lata - Gobble Gobble!!
